We highly appreciate the help of anyone who wants to translate NoteBurner program into your own native language or into any other language that you are specialized in, and will provide some special gifts to volunteers after the translation is adopted.

3. How to Translate NoteBurner to Your Own language

Step 1: Download Notepad++

To translate NoteBurner to your native language, a great editor is needed, and Notepad++ is a good choice for you, please download it first.

Step 2: Choose a NoteBurner Product You Like

Choose and download the latest version of the NoteBurner program that you are interested in from the Download Center.

Step 3: Find the Language Package:

For Windows users: Please right click on NoteBurner program, choose “Open File Location” to find the installation package. And then find the language file in the folder. You'll need to help us translate or update four strings according to the English version, including local.xml, string.xml, locale_feedback and string_feedback.

For Mac user: Go to a NoteBurner App in Finder, right click on NoteBurner and choose Show Package Contents to find the latest language package under Contents/Resources/en.lproj. You'll need to translate all the strings under en.lproj folder into your native language.

Step 4: Use Notepad++ to Translate

Please change the encoding format as "uses UTF-8" from the "Format" menu of Notepad++ first.

For most .xml files, please translate the words text="xxx", string="xxx" and tooltip="xxx".
For example:

Step 5: Check Your Translation

After translating, you can move the translation into the original language folder, and launch the NoteBurner program and switch the language option to check if your translation works.

Step 6: Send Your Translation Files to Us

When translation is completed, you can email us the documents to our support email address: support@noteburner.com. We will update our program with the new language and release the new version as soon as possible.
