1989, the fifth studio album by Taylor Swift, was released on October 27, 2014. "Uptown Funk", included on Mark Ronson's fourth studio album Uptown Special, is a song recorded by British producer Mark Ronson, with vocals from American singer Bruno Mars. The single received widespread critical acclaim from music critics and was a global commercial success, spending fourteen consecutive weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, seven non-consecutive weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart, and topped the charts in several other countries including Australia, Canada, France, Ireland and New Zealand. In the week of 25 January 2015, the song was streamed a record 2.34 million times in a single week in the UK. "Uptown Funk" also set a new record for the highest number of streams in one week in the US, with 4.8 million streams. Worldwide, the song has accumulated an estimated 15.2 million points from sales and streams.

"Thinking Out Loud" is a song by English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, recorded for his second studio album, × (2014). Best New Artist: Meghan Trainor
Meghan Elizabeth Trainor (born December 22, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. After signing a record deal with Epic Records in 2014, Trainor rose to fame with the release of major-label debut studio album, Title (2015). The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and produced four top 20 singles: "All About That Bass", "Lips Are Movin", "Dear Future Husband", and "Like I'm Gonna Lose You". Later certified platinum by the RIAA, the record passed one million sales domestically.
