Step 1. Open program's preference
Please make sure you have downloaded the latest version from our website. Then run NoteBurner Audiobook Converter for Mac, click menu "NoteBurner Audiobook Converter" > "Preference".
Step 2. Check the option "Keep chapters"
In the Preference dialog, check the option "Keep chapters (Only work with AAC output format)". Please note that only AAC (.m4a) format can preserve chapters information. You have to set "enable access for assistive devices" in "Open Universsal Access Preferences" in order to keep chapters.
Step 3. Click "Open Universsal Access Preferences"
To keep chaptes, you have to set "enable access for assistive devices" in "Open Universsal Access Preferences". So, we'll popup a message to ask you to "Open Universsal Access Preferences". If you click "Cancel" button. We'll uncheck "Keep chapters(Only work with AAC output format)".
Step 4. Check "Enable access for assistive devices"
If you have click "Open Universsal Access Preferences" in previous step, the "Universsal Access Preferences" will be opened. Please check "enable access for assistive devices" on the bottom part of it.
Q1. How to register Noteburner Audiobook Converter with your registration code?
A: Firstly install the trial version of Noteburner Audiobook Converter on your Mac. Then launch Noteburner, click the menu bar "Noteburner Audiobook Converter> Registration...", there will be a registration popup dialog. You may input the User ID and Registration Key manually. A: The log file is the diary of the conversion process which records the progress of each conversion. It will help the programmers to check the problem if there is any.
Users can find the log file of Noteburner Audiobook Converter, including "itunes.log" and "Audiobook Converter.log" with the following two methods:
1. Launch Noteburner and begin the conversion. If there is any error occurs during the process, users can click Noteburner menu bar File>Show log in Finder to get the "itunes.log" and "Audiobook Converter.log".
2. If Noteburner crashes during the conversion and you can't reach the log with the method above, please firstly hold down "Option" key to launch Noteburner. Then the "Audiobook Converter.log" will be generated on the desktop. And you will find the other "itunes.log" in the folder: /Users/username(your Mac account name)/Library/Application Support/Noteburner Audiobook Converter/.
Q4. Why doesn't it keep chapters in the converted audiobooks?
A: Firstly please note that the chapter-keeping function is unavailable when your iTunes version>=10.4 and Mac OS X<10.7. Then please make sure that you have checked the "Keep Chapters" in the Preferences. And it only works when you select the AAC as output format.
