Convert iTunes music for iRiver with Noteburner on Mac or Windows OS
Noteburner is an all-in-one audio converter which not only converts the normal unprotected audio files like MP3, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, RA and WAV, but also convert DRM Protected WMA and DRM Protected iTunes music -- usually M4P music and M4B audio books. Noteburner uses a virtual cd burner technology, which is much faster then any other DRM audio converters using sound recording technology. Noteburner can convert these iTunes music to unprotected MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, FLAC and WAV files. Since noteburner is a virtual CD burner, it simulates burning and ripping and convert iTunes music with iTunes to your hard disk.
What you need to do is to select Noteburner's virtual CD-RW as default cd burner in burner list. Noteburner also preserves all the tags information of the original iTunes music. However, you need to check "include CD text" option in iTunes. Noteburner also helps user to manage the output files easily by sorting the files with artist, album or playlist.
After the audio files are converted to iRiver compatible audio files, you need to transfer them to iRiver player. For that, you can download the free iRiver Plus 3 desktop software from the company's Web site, or install it from the bundled disc, but you'll need to provide contact details and a serial number. If you start iriver PLUS3 while iRiver player is connected, the details of the iRiver player will be displayed through the status window and iriver PLUS3 will be ready for data transfer automatically. Just select the files you want to send and click the transfer button.
iRiver also allows you to select either Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) or Mass Storage Class (MSC) transfer mode. In MSC mode, you can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop most content, not including DRM protected contents, into the appropriate folder on the player, which shows up as a drive when connected and set to data transfer mode. In MTP mode, you can use Windows Media Player 11, or iRiver Plus3 to manage and sync files, including DRM protected contents.
Now you can use your iRiver player to play iTunes music.
